The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) hosted its first Health Equity Conference on June 7-8, 2023. Participants attended in person at Howard University in Washington, D.C., online via Zoom, and by livestream on HHS Live.

Overview

CMS leadership discussed recent developments and updates on CMS programs, up-to-date research on health equity, promising practices and innovative solutions, and community engagement efforts. The conference was free for attendees and featured grand plenary sessions, breakout sessions, a poster hall, and a federal partner showcase. It brought together leaders in health equity from federal agencies, health provider organizations, academia, and community-based organizations.
