Vendor Resources

Products and services will be obsolete if steps are not taken now to get ready for the Version 5010 and ICD-10 transitions. If you haven't already, start talking with your customers now about preparing for the Version 5010 and ICD-10 transitions.

On January 1, 2012, full implementation of Version 5010 is required. To ensure a timely transition, software products with Version 5010 transaction standards should now be:
• Rolled out to customers
• Undergoing external testing between providers and payers and other external trading partners

And software vendors, clearinghouses, and third-party billing services should be developing products and services that will allow payers and providers to fully implement ICD-10 on October 1, 2013.
