Approval of Deeming Authority of the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has approved American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities, Inc. as a national accreditation program for providers of outpatient physical therapy and speech-language pathology services seeking to participate in the Medicare or Medicaid programs. Providers of outpatient physical therapy and speech-language pathology services now have an accreditation option where previously none existed.
