Special Open Door Forums

When a Special Open Door Forum (ODF) is scheduled, please refer to the "Downloads" section below for the Special ODF details and RSVP information. Approximately one week after the Special ODF has passed, the announcement, transcript and MP3 audio file will be posted under the "Downloads" section in one Download link for 30 days. They will no longer be separate files.

**Updated: March 2, 2015 - Special Open Door Forum (SODF): Home Health Electronic Clinical Template and Home Health Paper Clinical Template, Wednesday, March 11, 2015, from 1:00p.m. – 2:00p.m. Eastern Time. The purpose of this SODF call is to assist physicians/practitioners in thoroughly documenting patient eligibility for the Medicare home health benefit; CMS is considering the development of a voluntary home health paper clinical template. A voluntary home health electronic clinical template has been in the development process for the past year. CMS believes the use of clinical templates may reduce burden on the physicians and practitioners who order home health services. **Updated: February 20, 2015 - Special Open Door Forum (SODF): Improving Medicare Post-Acute Care Transformation Act of 2014 (IMPACT Act of 2014), Wednesday February 25, 2015, from 1:30p.m. – 2:30p.m. Eastern Time. The purpose of this SODF call is to provide an overview of standardized data in relation to the quality measures and standardized assessment domains required under the IMPACT Act of 2014. ** Updated: February 5, 2015 - Special Open Door Forum (ODF): Home Health Electronic Clinical Template and Home Health Paper Clinical Template, Wednesday, February 11, 2015 from 1:00-2:00 pm Eastern Time. The purpose of this SODF is to assist physicians/practitioners in thoroughly documenting patient eligibility for the Medicare home health benefit; CMS is considering the development of a voluntary home health paper clinical template. A voluntary home health electronic clinical template has been in the development process for the past year. **Additional Updated: January 27, 2015 - Special Open Door Forum (ODF): Adding Star Ratings to the Home Health Compare Website, Thursday, February 5, 2015 from 1:30pm - 3:00pm Eastern Time. The purpose of this second SODF call is to allow consumers, home health agencies (HHAs), and other interested parties to give additional input and feedback on the planned addition of star ratings to Medicare.gov’s Home Health Compare (HHC) web site. This call follows up on our previous call  on this topic and will include: a summary of the comments received on the material presented at the earlier call and on other aspects of the methodology; a presentation of our revised methodology; and plans for next steps. After the presentation, the phones will be opened for comments and questions. A link to the materials for this SODF, including a slide deck, a summary of the revised proposed HHC star rating methodology, and an updated "Frequently Asked Questions" (FAQ) document will be available soon on the Home Health Quality Initiative Spotlight page at http://www.cms.gov/Medicare/Quality-Initiatives-Patient-Assessment-Instruments/HomeHealthQualityInits/HHQISpotlight.html.
