Hospitals Open Door Forum

Overview:

The Hospital & Hospital Quality Open Door Forum (ODF) addresses the concerns and questions of the Hospital service setting. The very broad scope of topics discussed within this forum, include payment, coverage, conditions of participation, billing and many other current issues that are related to policy implementation. The Inpatient PPS, Outpatient PPS, provisions of the Affordable Care Act and other laws that affect the setting are all covered, and a recurring update from the areas of the Hospital Quality Initiative including the Hospital CAHPS initiative. Timely announcements and clarifications regarding important rulemaking, agency program initiatives and other related areas are also included in the forums.

**Additional Updated October 30, 2014 - Special Open Door Forum (ODF): Long-Term Care Hospital (LTCH) Quality Reporting Program (QRP), Wednesday, November 5, 2014 from 1:00pm - 2:30pm Eastern Time. The purpose of this SODF is to provide data collection and submission information to LTCH providers for the quality measures NHSN Facility-wide Inpatient Hospital-onset Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) Bacteremia Outcome Measure (NQF #1716), and NHSN Facility-wide Inpatient Hospital-onset Clostridium difficile Infection (CDI) Outcome Measure (NQF #1717), which LTCH providers are required to report to CMS beginning January 1, 2015. **Updated October 30, 2014 - Special Open Door Forum: Prior Authorization of Non-Emergent Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy - Tuesday, November 4, 2014; from 1:0pm- 2:00pm ET. This Special Open Door Forum will allow Medicare providers, hospitals, and additional interested parties to learn about the upcoming Prior Authorization of Non-Emergent Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy in the states of Illinois, Michigan, and New Jersey.
