The MAPD Help Desk provides technical system support to CMS business partners for the implementation and operation of Medicare Parts C and D. This systems information is provided to assist external business partners with connectivity, testing and data exchange with CMS.

  • April 11, 2014 – Important Notice: Updated Electronic Retroactive Processing Transmission (eRPT) Application User Manual  and Plan User FAQs Now Available

Please note the updated version of the electronic Retroactive Processing Transmission (eRPT) Application User Manual (v1.9) and the related Plan User Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) are available for review in the Downloads section below. The eRPT application is a web-based application designed to facilitate and manage the electronic submission, workflow processing, and storage of documentation associated with retroactive adjustments submitted to CMS’ Retroactive Processing Contractor (RPC).

Release 2 of the eRPT application is scheduled to go live on Monday  April 14, 2014.  In preparation of the go-live the eRPT application will be down from 9:00 PM EST on Friday April 11, 2014 to 9:00 PM EST on Sunday April 13, 2014.

  • March 26, 2014 - Important Notice: CMS to re-offer the Webinar on the Release 2 functionality of the Electronic Retroactive Processing Transmission (eRPT) Application

Please be advised that CMS is again presenting the Webinar on the Release 2 functionality of the Electronic Retroactive Processing Transmission (eRPT) Application on March 26, 2014 at 3:30 PM (ET) during the Part C & D user call. Participants should click on the following link:  http://www.mscginc.com/registration/ to register and obtain materials for the call. The link is the usual link used to access the Part C & D user call. However, the Webinar will be restricted to the first 200 participants. Participants call follow along via PowerPoint slides that are accessible via the link, but they will be unable to view the demonstration. CMS will offer two more training sessions in April. The information regarding the April sessions will be released by the end of the week.

  • Plan Communications User Guide (Version 8.0) Now Available

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has posted a new version (version 8.0) of the Plan Communications User Guide (commonly referred to as the Guide) to the MAPD Help Desk Web site. Enhancements to the Guide reflect changes incorporated from the February 2014 Release. Please reference the Medicare Advantage and Prescription Drug Plans Communications User Guide link for the updated Guides.

  • Year 2014 MARx Plan Monthly Schedule Now Available

The MARx Plan Monthly Schedule for 2014 has been updated to reflect Plan data due dates, report release dates, and enrollment certification due dates. Text and color versions of the 2014 MARx calendar are available for Plans to review in the Downloads section below:

  • Enrollment and Eligibility System Production Calendar for 2014 Now Available

The MAPD Production Schedule has been updated to reflect 2014 file transmissions. A text and color version of the calendar is available for Plans to review in the Downloads section below.

Due to system maintenance, please be advised that MARx will be unavailable from approximately 12:00 AM (ET) until 8:00 AM (ET) on Sunday, April 20, 2014.

Regularly Scheduled Maintenance

As a reminder, each Sunday night beginning at 6 pm (ET) through Monday morning at 6 am (ET), the Medicare Advantage and Part-D Inquiry System (Common UI) will be unavailable to Plan users for routine scheduled maintenance.

MARx Common UI unavailable daily – approximately 11:00 PM through 12:30 AM EST due to maintenance.

IACS Weekly System Maintenance - Sunday 6 p.m. to Monday 6 a.m. EST.
