Debt Collection System

Overview

The Debt Collection System (DCS) refers delinquent debts to Treasury for collection.  As of the July 2012 quarterly release, all the delinquent debts are coming from HIGLAS.  DCS also receives data from Treasury on what is collected and what is written off for the delinquent debts. DCS sends the collection information to HIGLAS. Currently Treasury is collecting over one million dollars per week.
