- Abstract
- The Balanced Budget Act of 1997 (BBA) provided for a home health interim payment system until the implementation of the home health prospective payment system. Under the BBA, home health agencies are paid the lower of three limits: 1) a per visit limit; 2) a blended, agency specific aggregate per beneficiary limit; or 3) the agency's actual costs.
