The purpose of the ILC Artifacts is to concisely capture, share and store critical project information within their associated timelines in attempt to make the best use of planning, resources and technology throughout the CMS Integrated IT Investment & System Life Cycle Framework. Artifacts used during project and governance reviews are designed to assist steering committees to make informed decisions. The utilization of artifacts in a project can be tailored in a Project Process Agreement. The artifacts to go through the life cycle are stored in the CMS IT Investment Management tool called Clarity. Since the artifacts and the framework are subject to continuous process improvement, internal CMS stakeholders may provide input to change the framework and life cycle. An ILC Change Request Form is available from the "Downloads" section of this page to document and justify future changes to the artifacts and framework.
