Local Homeless Assistance Agencies

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), along with many other Federal agencies, funds programs to help clients who are homeless. These programs provide a range of services including shelter, food counseling, and job skills programs. Local organizations called “homeless assistance agencies” manage these programs.
