Is there any Internet-based assistance and tools?
Yes. Much of the job search and labor market information (core services) that One-Stop Career Centers offer are available on the Internet at www.careeronestop.org. There is also a tool, called the CareerOneStopCoach, which is available at www.careeronestopcoach.org, to assist with navigating the Web site and accessing the services.

There is also a veterans-specific electronic tool called the e-VETS Resource Advisor. It includes information on job search tools and tips, employment openings, career assessment, education and training, and benefits and special services available to veterans. The e-VETS Resource Advisor helps veterans sort through the vast amount of information available on the Internet. Based on the client’s personal profile and/or the various services they select, the e-VETS Resource Advisor will provide a list of Web site links most relevant to their specific needs and interests. For more information on the e-VETS Resource Advisor, and to access the tool, visit http://www.dol.gov/elaws/evets.htm.

Yes.  The Veterans' Employment and Training Service (VETS) has a variety of services for veterans.  The Disabled Veterans' Outreach Program (DVOP) and Local Veterans' Employment Representative Program (LVERP) can be accessed through every Comprehensive One-Stop Career Center. Both programs provide vocational counseling, case management, assessment, referrals to support services and job development, and act as a liaison with potential employers, training providers, and veterans service organizations including the Department of Veterans Affairs.  The DVOP representatives work directly with veterans who have service-related disabilities. Also, veterans receive priority of service in many federal job training programs.

For more information about both of these programs, visit www.dol.gov/vets/programs/fact/Employment_Services_fs01.htm.
