Benefit Eligibility Screening Tool (BEST):
The Benefit Eligibility Screening Tool (BEST) is an online tool, http://best.ssa.gov, that can be used to find out if someone could be eligible for benefits from any of the programs Social Security administers. While BEST is not an application for benefits, it gives eligibility information based on answers provided to questions.

Benefits:
The money or services provided by an insurance policy. In a health plan, benefits are the health care you get.

Blind:
Blind means that an individual is either totally blind or has very poor eyesight. Under SSI, both children and adults can receive benefits because of blindness.
