The Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act of 2008 was enacted on July 15, 2008.  This new law has delayed the Medicare Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics, and Supplies (DMEPOS) Competitive Bidding Program.  CMS will provide updates and information to partners as soon as possible.  If beneficiaries have questions, they may call 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227).  TTY users should call 1-877-486-2048.
