The MAPD Help Desk provides technical system support to CMS business partners for the implementation and operation of Medicare Parts C and D. This systems information is provided to assist external business partners with connectivity, testing and data exchange with CMS.

• April 27, 2010 - Plan Communications User Guide (version 5.1) Now Available

Please review the memo in the downloads section below entitled "Plan Communication User's Guide (version 5.1)" dated April 26, 2010 regarding the release of updated Plan Communications User Guides by CMS reflecting changes incorporated with the April 2010 software release.

Enrollment and Eligibility System Production Calendar

• NEW! (July 29, 2010) – The MAPD Production Schedule for 2010 has been updated to reflect changes to August file transmissions. A text and color version of the calendar is available for Plans to review in the Downloads section below.

Planned Outages

• July 29, 2010 - Important Notice: MARx Processing and MARx UI Outage

Please be advised that MARx file processing and the MARx UI will be unavailable to Plan users on Saturday July 31, 2010 from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM EDT. Files may be submitted through Gentran or Connect:Direct as usual, however response files will be delayed during this timeframe.

Regularly Scheduled Maintenance

• As a reminder, each Sunday night beginning at 6 pm (ET) through Monday morning at 6 am (ET), the Medicare Advantage and Part-D Inquiry System (Common UI) will be unavailable to Plan users for routine scheduled maintenance.

• IACS Weekly System Maintenance - Sunday 6 p.m. to Monday 6 a.m. EST.
• GENTRAN (mailboxes) Weekly System Backup - Sunday 1 a.m. to approximately 3 a.m. EST.
