The results will also be shared with the Governor’s task forces to foster communication and combat heroin and opioid addiction. The Maryland Insurance Administration will also examine efforts by other States to ensure compliance with MHPAEA, with the goal of improving Maryland’s own efforts. The Maryland Insurance Administration will also draft administrative orders, as needed, to those companies who are not complying with the requirements of MHPAEA. Finally, Maryland will evaluate the feasibility of future reporting requirements for health insurance issuers to ensure compliance with MHPAEA.
