Medicare Covers

Patients with Medicare Part B with diabetes risk factors. Patients previously diagnosed with diabetes aren’t eligible for this benefit.

Frequency

Annually, 2 screenings within the 12-month period following the date of the patient’s most recent diabetes screening test

Patient Pays

No copayment, coinsurance, or deductible

Other Notes

• We cover a Hemoglobin A1C (HbA1C) blood test when a patient gets a diabetes screening
• We cover 83036 every 6 months using modifier TS
