National Uniform Billing Committee Codes

The National Uniform Billing Committee (NUBC) maintains many of the codes used to complete the CMS-1450. These codes and specifications are also used in the 837I Health Care Claims transaction standard.

The NUBC is a voluntary committee chaired by the American Hospital Association (AHA) that includes major national provider and payer organizations, including Medicare. It approves updates to the CMS-1450 and its official manual.
