Open Payments System Now Available

February 2, 2015

The Open Payments system is now open. For applicable manufacturers and GPOs, this means you can now register or recertify your organization’s registration from the previous year, submit corrected 2013 data if needed, and submit 2014 data. Things to remember as you begin the registration, recertification, and data submission process:

  • Data submitted for the 2014 program year covers payments made between January 1 and December 31, 2014.
  • If you’ve previously submitted data that is currently in the “on hold” status, all of those records have been processed.
  • The Open Payments system will notify any applicable manufacturer or GPO if corrections need to be made to any data.
  • March 31 is the deadline for all submissions—2013 resubmissions and new submissions of 2014 data.

For physicians and teaching hospitals, be prepared to review any data that may be submitted about you by registering in the system now. The review and dispute period is anticipated to start in April.

Visit the Resources page to find quick reference guides on registration and recertification, as well as other reference materials for all program participants. Go to our Contact Us page to sign up for updates on the Open Payments program.
