Introduction to Language Access Plans

Translated Materials

Health care organizations often use translated materials to provide important information to patients.

You may need to translate a variety of written materials into different languages, including:

  • Vital documents, like consent or eligibility forms
  • Discharge summaries
  • Procedure or diagnostic education information
  • Signage, including notices of the availability of interpreters

Don’t use services like Google Translate. These services can result in errors.
