Medigap & Medicare Drug Plans | World of Medicare

Some Medigap policies sold before 2006 included outpatient prescription drug benefits. People who still have this coverage and choose not to sign up for a Medicare drug plan may keep this policy that includes outpatient drug coverage.

Medigap policies don’t include drug coverage. People can enroll in a Medicare drug plan (Part D) for this coverage. We’ll find out more about drug plans in Lesson 4.
