Inflation Reduction Act

President Biden's Inflation Reduction Act allows Medicare to negotiate drug prices, caps out-of-pocket spending for prescription drugs in Medicare, and gives more Americans access to affordable health insurance coverage at HealthCare.gov.

To support implementation of this new law, CMS is hiring talented professionals in several areas to include health policy, pharmacoeconomics, operations, IT, social science research, program management, and much more.

Health Insurance Specialist (Special Assistant)

This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Medicare (CM).

As a Health Insurance Specialist (Special Assistant), GS-0107-14, you will will serve as a Special Assistant and Technical Advisor to the CM-CD Deputy Center Director and will provide authoritative recommendations on key issues affecting the operations of the CM-CD groups programs related to Medicare IRA activities.

Health Insurance Specialist

This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Medicare (CM), Front Office (FO).

As a HEALTH INSURANCE SPEC, GS-0107-14, you will serve as a Technical Advisor and Policy Expert to the C&D Deputy Director in the Center for Medicare. You will implement and operationalize intersecting provisions of the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 (IRA) by the six groups that report to the CM-CD Deputy Center Director.
