Medicare Open Enrollment kicked off on October 15 and will run through December 7. You will have better access to high-quality health coverage choices offering more options and lower premiums in 2018. You should be able to find plans that cost less but still give you quality care and better customer service.
Millions of Americans are gaining health coverage every year. Between 2013 and 2014, African Americans and Latinos saw the largest declines in uninsured rates. During the 2016 open enrollment period, over 2.2 million individuals of color selected plans through the Marketplace.
Open Enrollment ended on January 31 with about 12.7 million Americans having selected plans through Health Insurance Marketplaces, including 3.1 million signed up through State-based Marketplaces and over 9.6 million through the HealthCare.gov platform.
