The value of ABPM in the pediatric population continues to be realized. The latest clinical practice guideline put forward by the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that ABPM be used to confirm the diagnosis of hypertension in children and adolescents.

Here is the reference to that report:

From the American Academy of Pediatrics

Clinical Practice Guideline for Screening and Management of High Blood Pressure in Children and Adolescents
Pediatrics, September 2017, VOLUME 140 / ISSUE 3

I feel that ABPM should be used more consistently in the care of children and adolescents, and therefore I would request that the interpretation of these studies be covered for reimbursement.
