About NPPES
NPPES collects information to uniquely identify individual and organizational health care professionals or suppliers and assigns them an NPI.
You can access NPI data from the:
CMS updates the NPPES Downloadable File each month. Note that you can only download 1 file at a time.
CMS also offers weekly NPI updates for download, including data for that week. Use these updates with the full monthly NPI file until the next monthly update.
Downloading the full monthly file each month guarantees the most current NPI data.
