From day one, President Trump has made it clear that lowering prescription drug costs is a top priority. In May, the President released his drug-pricing blueprint, which includes the most sweeping set of policies to lower drug prices ever put forth by an administration. HHS has been hard at work to make the President’s vision a reality – because the status quo is simply unacceptable.
If your instincts tell you something is too good to be true, then maybe it is. When listening to those advocating ‘Medicare for All’ it’s good to be skeptical about their promises. As head of the agency that serves over 58 million Medicare beneficiaries, I deal first-hand with the challenges of government run healthcare.
Medicare Open Enrollment kicked off on October 15 and will run through December 7. You will have better access to high-quality health coverage choices offering more options and lower premiums in 2018. You should be able to find plans that cost less but still give you quality care and better customer service.
