Plan Year 2027 Marketplace Plans and Prices Fact Sheet

The Open Enrollment Period to choose Healthcare.gov coverage for 2027 begins on November 1, 2026, and runs through January 15, 2027.

In the upcoming year, Americans using HealthCare.gov will have robust access to low-cost plans. President Trump has delivered the largest decrease in Americans’ prescription drug prices in nearly 70 years; made historic investments to expand healthcare access in rural communities; and maximized price transparency. The Trump Administration continues to fight to lower insurance premiums and send money directly to the American people—not big insurance companies.

  • Robust Access to Low-Cost Plans: More than 75% of Americans who purchase coverage through HealthCare.gov will continue to have access to premiums at or below $50 in 2027.  The millions of Americans eligible for tax credits will have access to a plan with nearly 90% of the lowest-cost premium paid for by the federal government, compared to 85% in 2020—the last year not impacted by temporary COVID-19 policies.

  • Building off the Historic Health Savings Account (HSA) Eligibility Expansion: Thanks to President Trump’s Working Families Tax Cuts, every American purchasing healthcare through HealthCare.gov has access to HSA-eligible plans. HSAs allow American families to put more money back into their pockets by cutting taxes on healthcare while giving people, not insurance companies, greater control over their health spending. In 2027, eligible enrollees will have access to 35 different health plans on average that are HSA-eligible, a more than 1,000% increase over the status quo prior to President Trump’s historic Working Families Tax Cuts.

  • Robust Choice: In 2027, families using HealthCare.gov will have access to a broad selection of plans to choose from. On average, Americans have access to 100 different plans and five to six different insurance companies.

  • Low-Cost Catastrophic Plans: Catastrophic plans offer access to co-pay-free preventive care and protections for individuals with pre-existing conditions at lower costs. The average premium of the lowest-cost catastrophic plan is nearly 10% cheaper than the next lowest-cost plan at other coverage levels.

The Trump Administration will continue to fight to lower drug prices and insurance premiums, hold big insurance companies accountable, and maximize price transparency. To learn more, visit whitehouse.gov/greathealthcare.
