Description
This demonstration expands health care coverage to uninsured custodial parents and caretaker relatives of Medicaid and SCHIP children with family incomes up to and including 200% FPL and to pregnant women who are uninsured and not covered by Medicaid, with family incomes above 185% up to and including 200% FPL.

Status
Coverage for parents and caretaker relatives under the demonstration was extended through September 30, 2011, under section 2111(b)(1)(B) of the Act, which was enacted by section 112 of the Child Health Insurance Reauthorization Act of 2009. Coverage for pregnant women under the demonstration ended and was replaced by coverage under the title XXI State plan, effective April 1, 2009. As of December 31, 2009 there were 173,517 parents enrolled in the demonstration.
