2025 Socio-demographic and Health Characteristics of Medicare Beneficiaries Early Release PUF

Provides an overview of socio-demographic characteristics, chronic conditions, and functional limitations of Medicare beneficiaries based on 2025 MCBS Survey File Early Release LDS.

Among Medicare beneficiaries living in the community in 2025:

• 34 percent had a high school diploma or less and 35 percent had a bachelor’s degree or higher.
• 33 percent of Medicare beneficiaries reported having ever been diagnosed with diabetes.
• 25 percent of Medicare beneficiaries reported some difficulty walking.
• 35 percent reported experiencing dry mouth symptoms at least some of the time.
