September 13, 2023 – Upcoming Increase to Maximum Settlement Amount for Fixed Percentage Demand Calculation Option

When settling a liability or workers’ compensation case, a beneficiary, or their attorney (or other representative) may request that Medicare’s demand amount be calculated using the Fixed Percentage Option. Currently the total settlement amount for the Fixed Percentage Option cannot exceed $5,000. Effective October 2, 2023, the maximum settlement amount will be raised to $10,000.  For full details on selecting the Fixed Percentage option please visit the Demand Calculation Options page.

August 9, 2023 – Special Outage Notification

Please note that due to the migration of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Baltimore Data Center (BDC) to a new Data Center (Ashburn, VA), the MSPRP and the Benefits Coordination & Recovery Center (BCRC) Call Center will be unavailable for the following days from now through Labor Day weekend:
