Medicare HETS 270/271 Submitters:
CMS is planning an additional system release during the fourth quarter of 2008. This off-quarter release will will enhance the 271 responses submitters receive from the HIPAA Eligibility Transaction System (HETS) 270/271. No content changes to the 270 will be required for this release. HETS 270/271 submitters should, however, review the release summary and updated companion guide in the Downloads section below for important changes in the HETS 271 response, then prepare as necessary.
CMS is tentatively planning to install this system release on Saturday, November 22, 2008. Specific information regarding installation (including anticipated system outages) will be distributed in the near future.
