George G. Mills, Jr. has been the Deputy Director, Center for Program Integrity (CPI) since June 2015. He has been a member of the Senior Executive Service (SES) since January 2009 and a manager within CMS since June of 1998. Before becoming the Deputy Director of CPI, from August 2013 to June 2015 George was the Deputy Director of the Office of Financial Management (OFM). From January 2009 to August 2013, George was the Director of the Provider Compliance Group within OFM. From May 2003 to January 2009, George was the Deputy Director of the Financial Services Group (FSG), also in OFM.
George started working for the Federal Government in 1984 in Detroit as a GS-4; he started at CMS in 1986 working in the Chicago Regional office. He has a BS from Eastern Michigan University and an MA in Political Science from the University of Illinois-Chicago. The President of the United States awarded him a Meritorious Presidential Rank Award in 2016.
