Home Health Quality Reporting Data Submission Deadlines

Overview

The Quality Assessment Only (QAO) performance requirement for the home health Annual Payment Update (APU) is submitting OASIS assessments, of which at least 90% meet the definition of “quality assessment”. The table below shows the 2025 QAO reporting schedule for home health agencies. The QAO Interim and Annual Performance Reports will remain in the Internet Quality Improvement and Evaluation System (iQIES) folders for 120 days. Effective 7/1/2025, agencies are mandated to collect and submit OASIS data for all patients regardless of payer (initiative referenced as “all -payer OASIS data collection and submission).  However, OASIS-based measures continue to be calculated for Medicare fee-for-service, Medicare Advantage (Medicare managed care), Medicaid, and Medicaid managed care patients only.  CMS will monitor the all-payer OASIS data and will notify providers when decisions are made for future uses for quality or payment purposes.
