Now Accepting Applications for 2022 MRGP Funding Opportunity

The 2022 MRGP notice of funding opportunity for health equity researchers at minority-serving institutions (MSI) is now open. The MRGP is focused on designing and testing interventions that may reduce disparities in racial and ethnic minorities, people with disabilities, sexual and gender minorities, rural populations, and persons otherwise adversely affected by persistent poverty or inequality. CMS can award 3 grants of up to $333,000 each to researchers at MSIs, who are investigating or addressing health care disparities affecting CMS OMH’s target populations.

To apply for the funding opportunity, visit Grants.gov, or visit the Minority Research Grant Program to learn more about the program.

The CMS Office of Minority Health supports funding opportunities that allow researchers to increase the understanding of health disparities. Grant opportunities and data access programs assist researchers in conducting health equity studies that focus on minority populations who are experiencing health care inequalities due to race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, and disabilities.
