Overview
In May 2025, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced the launch of the largest federal healthcare quality improvement initiative in the United States, the Quality Innovation Network – Quality Improvement Organization (QIN-QIO). This five-year program, aligned with HHS Secretary Kennedy’s Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) Initiative, will span seven regions and aims to enhance health outcomes for Medicare beneficiaries. The QIN-QIO program will support hospitals, nursing homes, and outpatient clinician practices nationwide to improve healthcare quality.
