Medicare HETS 270/271 Submitters:
HETS has been modified to start returning the Physical/Speech and Occupational Therapy used amount in the 271 eligibility response. However, due to a delay in obtaining the actual data, HETS continues to returning $0 Therapy used for most beneficiaries.
CMS will run a series of jobs over the next three nights to make the actual Therapy usage data (including Part B usage for 2012) available to HETS. These jobs will run from approximately 8:00 PM - 11:59 PM ET Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights October 8-10, 2012. During the periods where these jobs are running, HETS 270/271 Submitters may notice higher than average response times from the HETS system.
Following the conclusion of each of these jobs, HETS will return actual Therapy used amounts for a significant number of Medicare beneficiaries. CMS estimates that a large majority of Medicare beneficiaries will have actual Therapy used amounts available in HETS after the Tuesday night job completes (which is essentially early Wednesday morning Eastern Time). All Medicare beneficiaries will display actual Therapy used amounts in HETS no later than end of the day on Thursday, October 11, 2012.
