Quality and Safety Special Alert Memos are geared towards specific provider types and will often serve as reminders of existing obligations or requirements.   

Memo definitions:

• New memo: Guidance issued for the first time.
• Revised memo: The guidance remains in effect, but has been modified through additions, deletions, or other changes. 
• Expired memo: A memo for which all guidance is no longer in effect.
