Quality and Safety Special Alerts

CMS Quality, and Safety Special Alert memos are geared towards specific provider types and will often serve as reminders of existing obligations or requirements.  

Memo definitions:

• New memo: Guidance issued for the first time.
• Revised memo: The guidance remains in effect, but has been modified through additions, deletions, or other changes. 
• Expired memo: A memo for which all guidance is no longer in effect.
