Provider Specific Data for Public Use in SAS and Parquet Formats
CMS will stop generating and sharing SAS formatted PSF files after April 2026
To help users transition their workflows:
- We are now sharing—and will continue to share—Parquet formatted quarterly PSF files on this page
- Parquet formatted quarterly PSF files are available going back to January 2025
- SAS formatted quarterly PSF files are available going back to January 2025
- We encourage users to source PSF data from https://pds.mps.cms.gov/#/Download, which contains the most current data available
Please contact the Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) with local jurisdiction with any questions or concerns you have related to the PSF data or the PDS files. MAC information can be found on the CMS website using the following link: https://www.cms.gov/mac-info [cms.gov].
The Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs) maintain the Provider Specific File (PSF). The files contain information about the facts specific to the provider that affects computations for the Prospective Payment System. The Provider Specific files in Parquet and SAS formats are located in the Downloads section below for the following provider-types:
- Inpatient
- Skilled Nursing Facility
- Home Health Agency
- Hospice
- Inpatient Rehab
- Long Term Care
- Inpatient Psychiatric Facility
