Medicare HETS 270/271 Eligibility - System Outage Notification & Information Bulletin - Upcoming System Release - September 3, 2010

Medicare HETS 270/271 Submitters:
CMS previously announced that the HETS 270/271 Q3 release is now scheduled for October 3, 2010.
In addition to this previously announced Q3 release, CMS is also planning a HETS 270/271 Q4 system release in November, 2010. The Q4 release will enhance the 271 responses Trading Partners receive from the HIPAA Eligibility Transaction System (HETS) 270/271. No content changes to the 270 request will be required for this release. Please review the online release documentation in the Downloads section below and prepare as necessary.
Companion Guide: The Updated Q4 Companion Guide will be available soon; MCARE will notify all submitters when this document is available for download.
The release is scheduled to be installed on Saturday, November 13, 2010. The HETS 270/271 application will be unavailable during the system release. CMS will distribute more specific release information (including estimated outage times) in October, 2010.
