Medicare HETS 270/271 Submitters:
CMS reminds Submitters that effective on Saturday, September 17, 2011 the HETS 270/271 Medicare eligibility system will begin validating FFS Medicare NPI numbers and Submitter to FFS Medicare NPI relationships in real-time. HETS 270/271 Submitters should be utilizing the HETS Provider GUI (HPG) to verify that all of your organizations' Submitter to FFS Medicare NPI relationships have been created prior to September 17, 2011. Using HPG, Submitters must create any Submitter to FFS Medicare NPI relationships that do not currently exist.
The MCARE Help Desk will be open from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM ET on Saturday, September 17, 2011 to support HETS 270/271 submitters once HETS begins real-time validation. Please direct any questions to the MCARE Help Desk for assistance.
