Description
The Waterbury Health Access Program (WHAP) is a multi-institutional collaborative of health organizations in Waterbury established with a Federal Health Resources and Services Administration grant in 2003 under the Healthy Communities Access Program. The collaborative, a continuation of a Community Action Grant coalition founded in 2000, was established to address systemic obstacles to ongoing and high-quality medical care for uninsured and underserved patients in the Greater Waterbury region.
