CMS reminds HETS clearinghouse Submitters that an EDI enrollment must be completed by all providers/suppliers who are Fee-for-Service (FFS) EDI enrolled and process claims as well as their authorized HIPAA business associates.
 

All Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs) will complete the implementation of the onboarding process by the end of 2025. By Spring 2026, providers/suppliers that have NPIs that have not completed the EDI Enrollment process will lose access to HETS data. It is critical that all providers/suppliers complete the EDI enrollment process.
 

CMS highly recommends that all HETS Submitters aggressively communicate with your organization's providers/suppliers to ensure that they complete this process.
