Software Release Announcements
The Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug Program is supported by a suite of CMS systems. Changes to system software and processes are grouped together into a release and implemented on a quarterly schedule—typically in February, May, August, and November each year.
Prior to the implementation of each quarterly release, the MAPD Help Desk issues two (2) announcements:
- Advance Announcement of the [month, year] Software Release.
- Provides a high-level of description of the software and process changes relevant to Plans
- Announcement of the [month, year] Software Release.
- Provides a more detailed description and technical details of the software and process changes relevant to Plans.
