What is measured?

The various Audit & Reimbursement QASP standards measure: payment suspension procedures; quality of cost report reopenings; System Tracking for Audit and Reimbursement (STAR) database management; desk review and audit quality; cost report acceptability timeliness; tentative settlement timeliness, Notice of Program Reimbursement Timeliness; cost report reopening timeliness; outlier reconciliation; and hospice corrective action plans.

Trends and Observations

An overall positive trend can be observed from Fiscal Year 2017 – 2019.   Specifically, there has been an overall increase of 30 percentage points (64% increase) since 2017 as well as an increase in the lowest score during the period.
