Exchange Improper Payment Measurement (EIPM)

In compliance with the Payment Integrity Information Act of 2019, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has implemented the Exchange Improper Payment Measurement (EIPM) program to identify, measure, and report improper payment information for the Advance payment of the Premium Tax Credit (APTC) program. The EIPM program reported its first measurement cycle’s improper payment data in November 2022 for calendar year 2020 APTC payments.
