CMS Unveils the QIN-QIO 13th Scope of Work

In May 2025, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced the launch of the largest federal healthcare quality improvement initiative in the United States, the Quality Innovation Network – Quality Improvement Organization (QIN-QIO). This five-year program, aligned with HHS Secretary Kennedy’s Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) Initiative, will span seven regions and aims to enhance health outcomes for Medicare beneficiaries. The QIN-QIO program will collaborate with numerous hospitals, nursing homes, and outpatient clinician practices nationwide by providing quality improvement support to address critical needs in the healthcare sector. CMS Hosts the 2025 Quality Conference

In July 2025, The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) hosted the 2025 Quality Conference convening healthcare leaders, clinicians, researchers, and patient advocates from across the country to develop and spread solutions to some of America’s most pervasive health system challenges. CMS Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz and senior agency officials led discussions on applying data, strengthening system accountability, and scaling proven interventions to support a safer, more efficient healthcare system. The conference also shared updates on the 13th Scope of Work for the Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) Program, which provides technical assistance and support to providers helping more than 68 million Medicare beneficiaries.
