How they met the pledge
This is the network pledge shown in production: a patient's app requesting their records, and Health Gorilla implementing the CMS Interoperability Framework to return them securely, in real time, across the national networks.
An individual-access request arrives from a digital health app. Health Gorilla confirms the individual was verified at IAL2, accepts identity assertions only from CMS-approved verifiers (currently CLEAR and ID.me), and verifies the requester and purpose of use before releasing data. Health Gorilla then locates and retrieves the patient's records across the major national networks (eHealth Exchange, Carequality, CommonWell, and TEFCA) into one unified record, delivered in standards-based FHIR with the original source documents preserved. Every step is logged and auditable.
We believe in and we are committed to implementing the full framework, including TEFCA IAS SOP v3.0 and the new patient-matching profile.
