Medicare-enrolled OTPs can now begin billing Medicare for services. Read the billing & payment fact sheet (PDF) for more information.  We encourage all fully-certified OTPs to enroll in Medicare now, if you have not already done so.  Read the enrollment fact sheet for more information on enrolling in Medicare.

Several updates this week for OTP providers:

Ensuring Continuity of Care for Dually Eligible Medicare Advantage Enrollees

  • On January 2, 2020, CMS released a Health Plan Management System (HPMS) Memo (PDF) to all Medicare Advantage organizations addressing continuity of care for dually eligible beneficiaries currently getting OTP services through Medicaid.

Find Medicare-Enrolled OTPs

  • A list of Medicare-enrolled OTPs is now available and includes the OTP number assigned by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, the National Provider Identifier or NPI, address, and the date they enrolled in Medicare.  We will update the list every two weeks.

New Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  • We continue to update the FAQs on our webpage.  Look for the **NEW** designation to easily find the latest information.

  • Visit our Messages to OTPs page to read all messages we’ve sent to OTPs since the release of the final rule on November 1, 2019

Call Materials from Recent Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) calls
