Michigan Financial Alignment Demonstration
11/04/16 - The newly-executed Michigan MI Health Link three-way contract posted.
On April 3, 2014, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced a new partnership with the State of Michigan to test an initiative to improve care for Medicare-Medicaid enrollees.
Under the demonstration, Michigan and CMS will contract with health plans called Integrated Care Organizations (ICOs), which will provide an integrated set of Medicare and Medicaid benefits to enrolled beneficiaries in four regions of the state.
April 3, 2014 - CMS and Michigan sign MOU
October 7, 2014 - CMS, Michigan, and participating plans execute three-way contract
March 1, 2015 - Start of opt-in enrollment in the Upper Peninsula and southwest Michigan
May 1, 2015 - Start of opt-in enrollment in Macomb and Wayne Counties. Passive enrollment begins in the Upper Peninsula and southwest Michigan
July 1, 2015 - Start of passive enrollment in Macomb and Wayne Counties
